This is the beginning of our Peruvian humanitarian mission. Our children and grandchildren gathered around us as Sandy opened the mission call. Hurray! We are going to the South America, Northwest Area, based in Lima, Peru, to serve as humanitarian welfare missionaries. Our mission starts in January 2017 and we will serve for 18 months.
We had hoped we were going to serve in Peru on this humanitarian mission. We had previously interviewed with Elder and Sister Lasson at Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City, and they had flagged our names for this mission.

The next 5 months promise to be extremely busy as Sandy learns Spanish and we prepare everything we need in order to leave on this incredible adventure into the unknown.
